A Peace Pagoda is a Buddhist monument dedicated to peace, nonviolence, and harmony among all people. Inspired by the vision of Fujii Guruji and the Nipponzan Myohoji order, Peace Pagodas serve as places of prayer, reflection, and hope for a more peaceful world.
Unlike traditional pagodas (stupas), which are often associated primarily with religious practice, Peace Pagodas are built as public symbols of peace, reconciliation, interfaith friendship, and respect for all life. Found throughout the world, they stand as reminders that peace is not merely an ideal, but something that must be cultivated through compassion, cooperation, and nonviolent action.Â
Today, more that 80 Peace Pagodas built by Nipponzan Myohoji stand around the world and continue to inspire people of all backgrounds to work together for peace.
